On Friday, June 1st the North American Institutional Marketing and Sales teams partnered with American University Library to host a Regional Summit at American University in Washington, DC. The daylong event was attended by academic and government librarians interested in access authentication and exploring Resource Access in the 21st Century (RA21). Designed to be a highly interactive event, some of the highlights of the Summit included:

  • Keynote:  A Personal Journal – James King, Branch Chief & Information Architect, National Institutes of Health
  • Identity and Access Management at аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê – Laird Barrett, Digital Product Manager, аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê
  • Two Group Discussions led by Laird Barrett and Robert Kelshian, Director of Access Services, American University
  • What’s New at аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê – Alan Roseman, Senior Licensing Manager, аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê

Our Regional Summits are part of an ongoing effort to bring professional development opportunities to local librarians who may have limited travel budget for national conferences.
